Tim East

Tim East is CIO for the Customer Compliance Group in HM Revenue and Customs.  He’s accountable for all the IT services used by compliance teams throughout the Department and for making sure that compliance teams have the best possible tools to promote voluntary compliance and detect and address non-compliance.  He’s an experienced IT delivery professional and has delivered significant transformational change in HMRC, including leading the programme that oversaw the transition away from HMRC’s long term IT outsourcing arrangements with Aspire.  He started his career in the Department as a Tax Professional and holds an MSc in Technology Management.
